Family Beach
Family Beach works especially well for families who want more than just swimming. Lounge chairs, umbrellas and towels are available, while nearby family activities make it easy to move between beach time and water play.
Rush Out, Gush Out Water Play has fountains, water drums and two corkscrew waterslides. Sebastian’s Cove adds a separate splash area and supervised youth activities for younger guests. If your family wants an active beach day, this is the easier place to make your base.
Serenity Bay
Serenity Bay is Disney Lookout Cay’s adults-only beach area. It is designed for guests who want to spend more of the day relaxing away from the family-focused water-play areas.
You do not need to leave Serenity Bay just to find food or drinks. The area has its own dining options, including Serenity Bay BBQ, and Blue Hole Bar. Private cabanas are also available for an additional charge.

Which should you choose?
For most families with children, Family Beach is the more practical choice because the water-play areas and kids’ activities are close by.
For an adults-only group, Serenity Bay makes more sense if a quieter beach atmosphere is the priority.
But adults do not have to choose Serenity Bay. If you would rather stay close to the livelier side of Lookout Cay, spend time around the family entertainment or use the water-play areas, Family Beach may still suit your day better.
The useful question is not simply “Which beach is better?” It is “What do you want to be close to during your day ashore?”
