The ship lies on the town waterfront inside the gulf, beside the Koutavos lagoon, so Argostoli itself is a ten to fifteen minute stroll and needs nothing arranged. The island is the complication. Kefalonia's headline sights — the Melissani and Drogarati caves, Myrtos beach — are spread across it, the public bus runs barely once a day on the useful routes, and a taxi or a tour is the realistic way to reach any of them. There is a single berth, so a second ship on the same day may end up tendering.
